At Sorella, we have a strong belief in the profound connection between humanity and the earth. Understanding that since the environment is constantly sustaining us, it is our duty to maintain that natural balance and care for it in return. Each piece we offer is specially curated with both you and the earth in mind! We strongly believe that ethical sourcing and fair trade practices are vital in our business, which is why we take the continuous yet necessary steps to ensure that our products are a consistent reflection of these values. As an online business, we do our best to reduce our carbon footprint and are as environmentally conscious as we can be. Sorella's Story
Sorella was brought to life by twin sisters and kindred spirits, Sophia and Arabella. Two women with a shared vision of leaving a lasting and positive impact on the world, by using their love for the earth and its most alluring resource to do so. Their story began with a fascination for semi-precious gemstones and a lifelong hobby of collecting, which led them to merge their shared passions and create something meaningful.
The twins founded Sorella with principles rooted in integrity, responsibility, and transparency, refusing to be involved with anything not aligning with these values. It was important for them to pave their own path, express their ideas, and share their dream with like-minded individuals. They believed in creating an honest business that they themselves could trust and relate to and as buyers themselves, they provided a unique and much needed perspective. Knowing exactly what they wanted to offer, they used themselves as the blueprint, adhering to the core narrative that formed the foundation of their idea.
Not long after grounding in their purpose and firmly establishing their groundwork for change, they embarked on an exciting journey to bring their dream to fruition. Along the way, they chose a name that reflected their shared bond: Sorella. In Italian, “sorella” means sister—a fitting name for twins united by a shared purpose. It’s a word that not only incorporates letters from both of their names, but symbolizes the strength of their partnership. By aligning with their true path and remaining committed to their vision, their business began to blossom into everything they had imagined—and more. Still growing, yet already wise beyond its years, Sorella continues to make its way in the world.
Sophia
Sophia is co-owner of Sorella and the 'heart' of the business. Using her intuition and inner feelings as her guide, she adds a unique level of creativity and compassion to all that she does. In her free time, Sophia enjoys being outdoors, connecting with nature and staying active. In the warmer seasons, she loves tending to her garden and living a slow lifestyle.
She believes it's important to not get too consumed by hustle culture, as she promotes a good work/life balance for herself by living a more intentional life. As a homebody, you can find her in the tranquility of her home cozying up with a hot cup of tea and a good book. She loves to cook, create art and spend quality time with her sister and loved ones.
Growing up as a twin meant always having a best friend by her side, yet she still values her alone time and finds that self care is very important. She brings in fresh perspectives and a light hearted attitude to her daily life and work; taking her personal values and applying them to aid in the nurturing and growth of Sorella.

Arabella
Arabella is co-owner and the second half of Sorella. With a more reserved and logical personality than her sister, she is the 'head' of the business. Focusing her energy on all things analytical and structured, she brings a secure sense of practicality and competence to her work.
She has always dreamed of helping others and creating change, no matter how small. She fulfilled this dream through Sorella, building something of her own that she can be proud of. When she's not working, she stays busy with various creative pursuits. A self-proclaimed writer, Arabella also loves music, reading, movies, cooking, and gardening.
In her spare time, she enjoys activities that challenge her mind and remains independent and active through her hobbies of boxing and ballet. With a deep admiration for nature, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and exploring. As a visionary driven by intellect, she brings direction and balance to Sorella, applying herself to her work with purpose.
Ethical Statement
At Sorella, we are committed to upholding our mission and continuing our passion with the highest standards of ethics, integrity and transparency. Honesty is paramount to us, which is why we maintain direct relationships with each of our suppliers. We consider this vital, especially when sourcing materials directly. We are selective about the products we bring to you, as well as the mines and people we source them from. Every material we offer meets our highest standards at each step of the sourcing process.
While there is no official certification for ethical sourcing in the crystal industry, we make it a priority to only work with what we can verify and trust, according to our own ethics. If we're unable to verify essential information about a product, then we can't consciously offer it. We would rather exclude a crystal or mineral from our collections than source it unethically; moreover, we will never go against our values for financial gain.
Although we source many types of crystals and minerals from mines all over the continents, we’re happy to say that we also source locally! Based in the Midwest, we have access to some of the best quartz veins in the country—meaning, for those of you purchasing for metaphysical purposes, you’re buying direct-from-source, with minimal energy signatures.
When you make a purchase with us, you’re making the conscious decision to support a small business that’s mindful of its impact on the earth. Our packaging consists of materials that are eco-friendly, sustainable, recyclable, compostable and naturally biodegradable! By choosing these packaging options, we’re helping to release fewer greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere, save resources, reduce water consumption, and so much more—which is amazing!
